Mark Warner Named Vice Chair of South Carolina Economic Developers’ Association Board of Directors
Davis & Floyd is pleased to announce that Mark Warner, SCCED, vice president of business development & marketing, has been elected vice chair of the South Carolina Economic Developers’ Association (SCEDA) board of directors for the 2017-2018 term. The board was selected during the organization’s annual conference in Hilton Head, SC.
Warner has served on the SCEDA board as secretary (2015-2016) and treasurer (2016-2017). He was previously co-chair of the SCEDA Legislative Committee and continues to serve as a committee member. Warner has been a member of SCEDA since 2007.
Warner joined Davis & Floyd in 2013 following a 6-year career with the Greenwood Partnership Alliance. During his tenure, he served as director of workforce development and existing industry, and ultimately as chief executive officer. Warner has more than 25 years of experience in organization management within the manufacturing and economic development sectors.
Since 1965, the SC Economic Developers’ Association has served as the Voice of Economic Development in the Palmetto State. A professional trade association of more than 600 members with representation from all 46 counties, SCEDA includes local and regional economic developers as well as officials from municipal, county, and state government agencies, construction and engineering firms, utility companies, attorneys, consultants, financial institutions, and higher education.
