Congrats to our own Robert Stevenson, Jr., SE, Structural Engineer, for graduating from the Leadership Greenwood program, an initiative of the Greenwood SC Chamber of Commerce. Leadership Greenwood is highly competitive and was designed to develop an active corps of engaged and dedicated civic leaders. Having been built and based in Greenwood, South Carolina, for over 50 years, we’re thrilled that the next generation of Davis & Floyd employees is contributing to our home city. Graduates of Leadership Greenwood are challenged to serve their employers and community in meaningful community-building efforts – something we wholeheartedly believe in.

Rob has a MS and BS in Civil/Structural Engineering from Clemson University and has been with Davis & Floyd for 8 years. He says that the company and his professional peers feel like family.

“At Davis & Floyd, we act as a family, celebrating in times of joy, supporting each other in times of need, and even giving each other a hard time just for the fun of it. Everything we do is centered around improving our communities, because with strong communities, all of our families have the best chance to succeed,” he says. “I work at Davis & Floyd because of our shared passion of improving the quality of life for our communities through excellence in engineering.”

At Davis & Floyd, Rob works primarily on bridge designs, which is fitting for his dedication to the community and the way he envisions community cohesion and improved safety for our South Carolina citizens. His current projects include the Port Access Road, York Street Dual Timber Bridge Replacement, Hartwood Lake Aerial Sewer Crossing, and US 278 Bridge Replacement over Three Runs Creek.
