Michael Horton Joins Charleston Regional Development Alliance Board of Directors

Charleston, S.C. (January 25, 2017) — Davis & Floyd is pleased to announce that Michael Horton, chief engineering officer, has been appointed to the Charleston Regional Development Alliance (CRDA) board of directors. As a member of the board of directors, Horton will have a number of responsibilities to support the goals, objectives, and long-range economic development strategies of the CRDA.

Horton has been an integral part of Davis & Floyd’s water resources team for more than 20 years, focusing on hydraulics and hydrology, stormwater planning and management, and floodplain studies. He has been involved with the planning, design, permitting, and construction phase services for over $200 million in drainage improvements for the City of Charleston. Horton is also the past president of the American Council of Engineering Companies of South Carolina (ACEC-SC) board of directors, past president of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE-SC), SC Section, and past chairman of the Advisory Board for Glenn Department of Civil Engineering at Clemson University.
