Objectives

Warner Robins Air Force Base engaged Davis & Floyd to assess and repair its critical storm drainage culverts, which could cause disruption to the airfield and traffic flow if the culverts failed.

Scope

Conducted field surveys and inspection of the culverts’ sizes, materials and conditions

Inspected the culverts to identify the physical condition of the existing storm-drainage system

Provided a report identifying deficiencies found in the system and recommendations for improvements

Challenges

Work was conducted on an active runway

Outcome

A detailed report that included construction cost estimates for the recommended improvements in an effort to assist Warner Robins Air Force Base in its decision on how best to proceed.
